Family Days
Big Boreal Adventure has gathered some of our most talented resident
experts to organize FREE events for all.
We hope to plan one Family Day each month, so stay tuned!
Summer 2012:
July 21, 2012 (10am-11:30am): Jennifer Hansen, Youth and Community Educator from EcoSuperior will be presenting on
EXPLORING OUR ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT.
Activities will include:
*We use HOW much water?
*The story of Sandy's Incredible Shrinking Footprint
*Household Water Use Relay
*Shrinking Lake Survival Challenge
August 25, 2012 (11am-12:30pm): Please join two avid and enthusiastic naturalists: John Walas (Thunder Bay Field Naturalists) and Harvey Lemelin on an INSECT WALK!
During the insect walk, we will:
*learn to identify insects
*observe what the insects are doing
*discover the unique characteristics of insects

August 2011 - Frisbee Golf (Disc Golf) at Boulevard Lake with Meg Sheepway of the Big Boreal Adventure
