Under a tree Waverly Park

Waverley Park - Red River Road

This park was set aside in 1871 when the city of Port Arthur was first developed. In the early days of the park, it spanned the space between the Port Arthur Central School (now Magnus Theatre) and the old Port Arthur Collegiate High School.  School children have been playing here ever since! Look closely at the Memorial Garden- you’ll see the plaques form the shape of a baseball diamond!

Clue: The Hogarth Fountain dates all the way back to 1790! Look around it to find the post.
