Fish Ladder Lake Tamblyn

Lake Tamblyn - 955 Oliver Road

There are all kinds of foods available near the University’s manufactured lake.  High bush cranberry apple trees are scattered throughout what was once an orchard!  If you look closely, you might even see some wild rice (Canada’s only native cereal grain) that was planted here by the big wall of the lake.  Check out the fish ladder near the small island to see the Rainbow Trout moving up it to spawn.

Directions:

  • Find the canon in the Arboretum Courtyard on the North side of the Lake and you will find the post!

Please Note: If you are looking at the oldest map that this location has been moved and is no longer located next to the fish ladder.
